At The Village, we’re proud to create a space where children with additional needs can feel safe, seen, and supported – and where families feel heard and included. But don’t just take our word for it. Below, parents and children share their own experiences of what The Village means to them.

We are so grateful for the opportunities available to our son at Slime Club. The sessions enable him to socialise with peers in an environment that he feels comfortable in, with trusted staff. He is able to access activities that promote independence, life skills and
enjoyment. He is also able to further develop skills that he is currently building, such as riding a two wheeled bike. The sessions are invaluable to our son and to us as a family.

I love coming to Slime Club, I like playing outside on the scooters and bikes, and when we do Disney quizzes

It’s Slime for Fun is the best provision my children have ever accessed. Klair and the team have taken care of my little ones for many years. They show care and love, and fill every day with such variety and fun the children absolutely love it. With our son’s additional needs, they fully understand his limitations and triggers and provide him with an environment he is comfortable in, and one where he can thrive. They look after your children as if they were their own, and I am always grateful for this wonderful, inclusive provision.

We have been accessing slime for fun since 2018 as we have children with special needs and find it almost impossible to find appropriate clubs for them to attend during the school holidays and especially on a Saturdays. All the staff are amazing very knowledgeable, I can relax knowing my children are in a safe and stimulating environment and the activities are fun suit their individual needs they thoroughly enjoy their time there. Great communication, nothing to much trouble and they support us as a family.

Five Stars – A Wonderful Place for My Daughter!
Slime for Fun Club has been absolutely amazing for my daughter Cerys, who is 17, autistic, and non-verbal. Finding the right environment where she feels safe, happy, and engaged is so important — and this club has been a perfect fit.
The staff are incredibly supportive and understanding of Cerys’s additional needs. They’ve helped her focus on small but meaningful tasks like making toast, a cup of tea, and matching letters — things that build her confidence and life skills in such a gentle and encouraging way.
One of the best parts for Cerys is the social side. She really looks forward to seeing her friends at the club, and it’s been fantastic for her social development. Whether she’s participating in turn-taking games or just chilling and watching a movie, she’s always happy and calm after a session.
It’s so reassuring as a parent to see your child in an environment where they are truly accepted and celebrated for who they are. We’re so grateful for everything Slime for Fun Club has done for Cerys — it’s made a real difference to her life.
Highly recommended for any parent looking for a safe, fun, and supportive space for their child with additional needs.
